It is critical for new Clerical and Administrative Professionals to understand the Mission, Vision, Values and Principles of Practice of the Agency. This interactive training will help new employees make the essential connection between their day-to-day job functions and the important work of the Agency. The primary role of the Clerical and Administrative Professional is to support the work of the Agency. This training is designed to clearly identify their role as it relates to the Agency Mission and Vision and to position them for success.

The mission and vision relate to the agency’s purpose and aspirations and answers questions about “who we are,” “what do we value,” and “where we are going.” A mission statement communicates the Agency’s reason for being, and how it aims to serve its clients, employees, and community partners. Values are the beliefs and core behaviors that employees demonstrate as they fulfill the Agency’s mission and vision.

The guiding principles, or Principles of Practice function as vital tools to keep everyone on the same page, energized and motivated to reach the same goal – increasing positive outcomes for children and families. We believe when employees understand the Agency’s purpose through its mission, vision, values, and principles, they will perform their job with greater care, competence, confidence, and commitment.

Learning about the Mission, Vision & Values of the Agency will achieve these expectations:

  • Provide focus and direction
  • Create coherence, connectedness, common aspiration
  • Connect daily work to a larger purpose
  • Create sense of pride, energy &  creativity
  • Promote a sense of shared ownership
  • Enhance the capacity towards goals
