Join us for a 2-day intensive virtual training for caseworkers working with survivors of sex trafficking in the child welfare system. This interactive training will be facilitated by a team of clinical and survivor experts, Dr. Shobana Powell, DSW, LCSW & Ashante Taylorcox, MA-MHC, LPC.  The content will include topics such as: when trafficking goes unrecognized, body and brain responses to trafficking, tips for misunderstood trauma symptoms, intersections of mental health and human trafficking, and tools for engaging survivors.

Course Objectives:

1. Increase knowledge about the complexities of trafficking 

2. Increase understanding of frequently misunderstood trauma symptoms

3. Expand toolkit for supporting and engaging with survivors

Upon successful completion of training participants will receive 9 Clinical Social Work CEUs/CW Training Credit Hours.
