The objectives of the CWADM training are below:

• Demonstrate an understanding of CWADM.
• Demonstrated a basic understanding of the different tools used by DCFS staff used to assess safety and risk.   
• Demonstrate a familiarity with CWADM terms.
• Demonstrate an understanding of how child welfare assesses safety of children, both informally and formally.
• Demonstrate an understanding of safety planning when children are determined to be unsafe. 
• Demonstrate an understanding of how and when to complete a Form 5 and Form 5 SP.
