What are the rights of LGBTQ young people in care? How do I balance personal beliefs with professional responsibility? What resources exist for families of LGBTQ-identified youth? What does LGBTQ even mean?  This training aims to answer these questions while providing best practices on assessing LGBTQ children and families.

The objectives of this training are:

1. Recognize what can be done to better support LGBTQ children and families.
2. Share what Louisiana has done specifically to support LGBTQ children and families.
3. Provide basic information to help better understand the LGBTQ community.
4. Identify the best ways to assess and intervene with LGBTQ children and families.
